Im glad I don’t live in South America because they have beetles that grow to 5.5 inches and there is a tropical insect that can grow a foot long. Te world’s “biggest” insect in thethat can be 6 inches long or 3.5 ounces. The beetle is deep red and have a black and white striped head with 1/4 inch long black horns. The horns are used to big into plants and suck their juices out. The words smallest insect is the battledore-wing fairy fly which is a parasitic wasp. The hairy-winged beetle is also as small as the battledore-wing fairy fly. They are only 1/125 of an inch and have only one cell. several can fit on the head of a pin. The Goliath beetle can peel bananas with their horns.
