Kangaroos are not the only animal that carry the young in their pouch. There is a fish that also has a pouch but it is the male sea horse. The male has a pouch near it’s tale where the female sea horse leaves her eggs, up to 200 that are sealed with a sticky secretion. The eggs are carried for 45 days. The male sea horse attached his tail to seaweed and it sways back and forth with the current forcing the pouch open and allowing the babies to swim out. The sea horse can live for 6 years.
