Even worst than the morning alarm clock is the kitty alarm clock. The Kitty Alarm clock goes off when ever it feels the need to play or just get attention. Here are 5 simple tips on how to turn off the Kitty or Cat alarm clock.
-
Close your Bedroom Door
By far the easiest solution is to simply close the door. Just shut the cat out of your room to eliminate them from jumping on you and walking you up. Sometimes a good night sleep is worth not having your favorite cuddling partner in bed with you. The only downfall to this technique is the cat could possible claw or scream at the door.
-
Squirt the Little Brat
Another easy technique is to spray the kitty alarm clock with a squirt bottle. Every time the cat wakes you up squirt them and they will run off, after a few days they will hopefully get it and leave you alone when you are sleeping, if only these worked for real alarm clocks.
-
A happy tummy is a sleepy kitty
Try feeding your cat right before you go to bed, this way hunger is not the reason for the midnight wake up calls. The cat may not always be trying to annoy you during the night, he may just need you to feed him.
-
Tucker the Cat Out
Although you cant take your cat for a walk before bed you can tire them out. Play tell your cat or kitten is tuckered out, this should help them snooze until the real morning alarm clock goes off. The less exercise or playtime a cat gets during the day the less sleep they need.
-
Blast’em
Okay, now this is a tip for only the most extreme cases. Cats and kittens HATE loud noises i.e. vacuums, clanking pots and pans, and blow dryers. Keep a blow dryer plugged in bed side and ever time the cat wakes you up turn it on, the cat will soon find other ways to occupy it’s early morning hours and you will be sleeping like a baby.
Hope these tips help you turn off your kitty alarm clock for good.
