Paramecium are tiny little animals that do not have eyes, ears, hearts or brains. Despite the size and shape the 1-celled organism can do almost everything other animals can do. They eat through a hole in the side of the body, digest the food, and discrete the waste out of another opening. The paramecium moves through the water by using hairs on its sides. The paramecium also reacts to salty or warm water by scurrying away from it.
The animal can reproduce by exchanging pieces of matter from other organisms. The Paramecium shoots tiny spike-like hairs like armor to defend its selves from attackers. Even though we have millions of more cells than the paramecium we are alike in many ways and both belong to the living part of the animal kingdom.
