How to Treat Pet Dandruff

Posted on 10 March 2009 by admin

dogJust like people pets also can get dandruff. Dandruff is an uncomfortable skin issue that cause skill cells to die and flake off quicker then usual.

Here is a list of supplies you will need. Mild shampoo, pet brush, organic pet food, colloidial oatmeal, pure olive oil, and garlic and yeast supplement.

Bath your dog with the mild shampoo, something gentle like baby shampoo. Rinse throughly, the left over shampoo could be irritating to the skin.

Add the oatmeal to the bath water to help soothe the skin, helps to prevent  flaking and moisturize the skin.

You need to brush your pet once a week to help remove the flakes and hair. Brushing redistributes oils in the coat as well.

After you brush your pet massage them with a small dab of olive oil, its not greasy and is very good for your pets coat.

The organic pet food is rich in fatty acids that help your dog maintain its proper nutritional needs to keep their coat and skin healthy.

Vitamins also help your dog with these needs.
