Weddings are a very exciting thing to plan but can be time consuming and very expensive. Here are some simple and fun tips to reduce your wedding cost.

1. Buy your bridesmaids gowns and groomsman tuxedos at the same shop. The shop will often offer you a discount for doing this. Even if they dont this will at least save you time and hassle drive around town.

2. Make some of the wedding decorations yourself. Get a few friends and family members together for a weekend and make some centerpeices and other things for your wedding.

3. To save money of the alcohol have the caterers walk around serving wine. This can be much cheaper than leaving bottles on the tables that may not be used completely. Another way to save money on alcohol is to buy large bottles of wine and then have them put in carafes to be served.

4. Use candy as part of your wedding favor. Buy bulk amounts of candy and you should be able to save a lot of money compared to expensive candy shops.

5. Hire one Limo to drop you off and another to pick you up rather then paying one to sit around and wait for you.

6. Silk flowers are great for alter pieces because people will not be very close to them so know one will know. You can also find places to rent these because you want to make sure you have high quality silk flowers.

7. Make you own invitations. Many places to sell invitation kits or beautiful paper that you can use to make invitations. This will save you a great deal over a printer. Have another person look over your wording etc on the invitations before you print them.

8. Limit the guest list to your closest freinds and family. Limit the name on the invitations so they will not be confused about if they may invite a guest.

9. Use a small decorated cake for the cutting and serve the rest of the guests sheet cake from the kitchen.

10. Look for a ceremony place that is already beautiful so you will not have to spend a great amount of money decorating it.
